Our certificate programs
The programs are designed to provide technical training throughout two semesters: Basic semester and Specialization semester.
The basic semester is a prerequisite for pursuing any specialization within the embroidery program.
During the first semester, students acquire foundational knowledge of the craft. The second semester focuses on advance techniques, allowing for the improvement of skills and expertise.
Each semester consists of 432 hours, totaling 864 hours per program and integrates a combination of technical and theoretical coursework, taught by highly qualified instructors.
The training is conducted in person, ensuring hands-on learning experience and feedback closely connected to the realities of the trade.
Students may focus on one of the following areas of specialization: Bead embroidery, Decorative techniques, Openwork embroidery, Smock stitch.

Upon completion of the program, students receive the Technical Labor Certificate in Embroidery, with the related specialization, approved by the Bogotá Secretariat of Education under Resolution 170017 of November 27, 2024.

Curriculum
Basic embroidery semester
The basic embroidery semester includes the essential aspects of the craft, providing fundamental skills necessary for advancement into specialized levels. Through various techniques, precision and quality are ensured in every piece, establishing a solid foundation for creating unique designs.
Technical Skill Development
The program incorporates planning, drawing and design, along with an in-depth understanding of materials and tools. The fundamentals of embroidery are explored through simple and interlaced stitches, as well as pattern- making and garment construction. With an approach that blends tradition and innovation, the curriculum enables the adaptation of compositions to current market trends, fostering both creativity and technical development.

Bead embroidery
Bead embroidery is an elaborate craft that combines precision, creativity, and tradition, allowing artisans to create ornamental pieces with unique details. Through this discipline, manual skills are developed by applying specialized techniques that blend traditional methods with contemporary approaches. Every embroidered piece becomes a singular work of art, reflecting both craftsmanship and artistic vision.

Applied openwork embroidery
Smock embroidery
Smock embroidery, also known as honeycomb stitching, is a technique applied to regular pleats in fabric, creating decorative textures and volume. This method includes stitches such as honeycomb, cable, diamond, wave, and daisy, among others. Originating in England, smock was initially used in workwear, providing flexibility and comfort without sacrificing fit. Over time, it evolved into an ornamental feature in the design of dresses and blouses, particularly in children’s clothing.
